Little Leadwood was built for long, slow stays. Two ensuite bedrooms, an open plan living room, a pool, a veranda and everything you'd need to enjoy a quiet, extended period in the bush.

Two ensuite bedrooms, each with a queen bed. Both suites open onto a private patio and have outdoor showers with views of the mountain range.

A fully equipped open kitchen, a dining table and a lounge that flows straight out to the veranda. A bar area with two wine fridges. As well as a scullery.

Pool & Braai
A large swimming pool, sun loungers, an outdoor dining table and a braai with a panoramic view of the Drakensburg mountain range. Our bush villa is unfenced.

Self-sufficient
Seventeen solar panels and two backup batteries meaning that as long as the sun is shining, you won't need to worry about load shedding. We also have a whole-house water filtration and UV sterilisation system.

Reserve rules require a minimum lease of 31 days. Pricing is on a monthly basis starting from $2,850 | £2,050 per month for 2026. 2027 rates are currently on a request basis Accommodation, weekly housekeeping and internet are included. Electricity is billed in arrears.
Guests staying at Little Leadwood are not allowed to self-drive around the reserve. They can however book a game drive with a pre-approved supplier for R 1,250 per person per drive. We can assist with procuring these game drives when making your booking.

There's no schedule at Little Leadwood. Most guests enjoy early walks around the neighbouring orchard, long lunches on the veranda, an afternoon swim and a game drive at dusk. Others head into the Kruger National Park for a day of exploring. Staying at Little Leadwood is on your own time.

Wildlife on your doorstep
Elephant, cheetah, warthog, leopard, giraffe, nyala, even lions are all spotted from the deck. The villa is unfenced and inside the reserve.

The Orpen Gate is fifty to sixty minutes' drive. A long day inside the park — coffee by a dam, lunch at Satara, and home before dark.

One of the great canyons of the world, about an hour from the gate. Enjoy boat trips, a hike to a nearby waterfall or travel slightly further to the Three Rondavels or God's Window.

Hot air balloon flights and scenic helicopter tours operate out of nearby airfields. Heli trips are our favourite activity to do in the area. We couldn't recommend this more!

Neighbouring estates run guided horseback safaris. This is a lovely, slow and silent way to move through the bush. You can enjoy giraffe, zebra, and other plains game sightings.
